stuff and such

The 14K I-don't-know-why-I-wrote-this-thing about Deadpool making Clint go on a roadtrip with him is still disturbing, pointless and without an endpoint, but looking at it (and watching some semi-crap Avengers movie on youtube that contains a line to the effect of "Banner always runs to the desert".) kind of makes me want to write a fic where Bruce takes off to Arizona, and lives in a shit, outdated little camper in the middle of bugfuck nowhere.

And then Clint and/or Tony show up. I don't know yet. Clint would just hang out and Tony would probably try to make the campsite "liveable" (read:fancy). Both options entertain me, but I just like writing Clint.

Obviously.

I'm so self-conscious about the obviousness of my favorites. Is it OK to only write your otp, or if you have a preference for certain characters? I notice even people who proclaim strong otp-ness write fic where neither characters in their pair is the focus.

Other news: A couple people have asked me about fic updates--I've been sick this week so I've doodled some, but not that much else. I have some kind of crap flu and no more cough drops and bats are living in the ceiling above my bed.

I'm sort of hoping to be better soon, but also to stay sick until New Years so I don't have to participate in holidays. I might be a bit cranky. Did I mention the bats? I think they're raising young up there.

being sick kind of sucks, but as someone who also doesn't always enjoy the holidays - or at least, the people i have to spend the holidays with - i totally get where you're coming from. i hope you get better, and then lie about being better, and then--voila! two birds, one stone.

i'm stoked to read this deadpool/clint fic, by the way, and would be totally onboard with bruce-slash-hulk/clint(/tony...?) fic as well.

as to the question of playing favourites when you write, i tend to go with the "whatever-i-like-best" option. sometimes this means i don't get to write my otps as much, because my grasp on them isn't as good as it is other characters, but when it all lines up (and in your case, it so lines up), then all i ever do is write my otp. plus - and i'm going to go out on a limb here and guess - hope - your otp is clint/tony - when your otp is such a rarepair, as a reader, i have to say it's awesome to find a fantastic pairing-heavy writer.

tl;dr, basically i think most people would love to only write their otps, but can't because they're not that comfortable writing those characters as much as they are writing others. and there is nothing wrong with wanting to write clint (and/or clint/tony) all day, every day. :D

p.s. i think this sketch is my favourite thing you've posted so far.

asldfjdgfd so i wondered why i hadn't heard back from you at all re: your thoughts about this, and then when i came back to check the entry i finally realized it hadn't logged me in and i'd posted it anonymously (MY BAD, SORRY ABOUT THAT).

i don't actually have anything to add to this, besides *_______________*

but still. anyone/clint should be everyone's ship, really.
