Which means tens of thousands of words of half finished fic gone. Idk if windows 7 makes auto recovery points, because I haven't made any recently and idk if system recovery or repair or whatever will delete my files.

Just. Agh.

I'm so sick of things going wrong lately. Everyone is just like, "Dude. Computers do shit," but it's really more of a camel's back and straw problem rather than just oh my computer may have eaten shit I've been working on for the last 3 months.


The most annoying thing is, the damn thing was fine yesterday, and now I can't even get it to boot in safe mode. I have no idea what's happened at all, but it doesn't seem to be reading my hard drive.

Fuck the way I did not move my fic files to a flashdrive. Just fuck it.

My friend who is in IT thinks we can get at them by making a temporary linux OS but since he's directing through fbook chat I feel a bit like I'm being talked through a landing. D:

I just hope that works and it's not hardware damage.
